Default WAHM Networking Group
I was just going through the meetup.com groups that I belong to and thinking how I would love to attend more of the events, but because of lack of a babysitter I really can't. So my thought is to create a WAHM (Work At Home Mom) Meetup group that can network at kid friendly places. That way the moms can meet and get to know eachother and the kids can play. Maybe 1-2 moms per meeting (depending on the number of attendees) can be in charge of watching the kids. Is this something that you would attend? Any ideas, thoughts, or input on this would be greatly appreciated.

Great idea! It reminds me of the MOM's Club they have down here where the moms would chat while the kids did age appropriate activities.

I think that if the kids were around the same age as mine I would definately attend something like this.

What a fabulous idea! Especially with summer break here, alot of moms will be tied to the house even more. I think you'll get a good response! Great idea!

Yvonne,

Aren't you in the Pittsburgh area? If so I wanted to let you know that it will probably be a Pittsburgh meetup. I have considered just doing North Pittsburgh, but I will see what the response is.

Yes, I'm in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. If you do one in a central location I'd love to come.

Unfortunately for me , I live in a very small rural town so I have to do 99% of my networking online.

I absolutely love the idea as I have the same problem! We are actually in the process of creating a group such as that here, where we work out deals with the owners of locations on pricing.

This is a fabulous idea and I would love to do this! My little guy is one and I would have to pay for childcare to go to most meet-ups! I see you posted this quite a while ago, maybe I'll look online to see if there is anything in my area.

Thanks!
