Default VA Meetup! - Virtual Assistance and You Blog
People in business usually know others in the same line. Most have met at least a few colleagues in person. But since I have never met another real live virtual assistant, I was excited to do a meetup this weekend.

It was a tiny group. Just myself, the intrepid Sheena Cooper, and the so-smart-it’s scary AnnaLisa Michaelski. Sheena is based in Richmond, AnnaLisa in Portsmouth, and I was the lone out-of-stater, coming from NC.

Though small, it seemed to me a significant gathering. What a cool snapshot of the VA industry we were. We had dinner; it was a fairly brief encounter. But it was enought to whet my appetite.

We are all three very different, specializing in different things, and at different stages of growth in our respective businesses. What was so fun to consider was the ways we are the same. We are educated, creative, can-do women. We share the urge to be of service. We’re experienced in our focus areas.... Click here to read the rest of this post at the Virtual Assistance and You Blog.

Mary,
How fun that you got to meet up with these two other VAs! Hamid and I just hosted a small dinner here in Seattle, where we're spending a relaxing holiday, for two other VAs/VAF members. I got to meet Jodith and Kathya - and what a great conversation we all had We had anticipated a bigger group but it was really nice just the four of us - we sat outside enjoying a bit of wine and Thai food and talked about everything from marketing to the Law of Attraction. It was great fun!
