Just to let you know that meet-ups are not a waste of time. I actively belong to a large meet-up group in PA and have not only met many potentials but have gotten two awesome potentials.
One is going to start after the holidays and the other I am meeting with to discuss how we can work together as well.
Hang in there folks who attend meet-ups. There are great possibilities.
I also volunteer my services and knowledge rather than hard sell myself and I think this has opened many more doors since people can see how I can help them in their business.
Thanks for that advice, Lee. I'm unfamiliar with business meetups (not even sure what they entail), and have been wrestling with whether joining would be worth the time and effort. It was encouraging to hear from you on that.

The majority of my clients right now are either people I met directly at a Meetup or were referred by someone from that Meetup group. The funny thing is I was just going along with my husband for support. The group is actually for speakers. But guess what? Many needed a virtual assistant!
