Hi everyone! The big Chamber business expo is tomorrow and I've been preparing and preparing...and need your help!

Here's what I have to offer the businesses:

A drawing for nice gift to collect emails, names and phone numbers.
My business cards and trifold brochure.
A one-page sheet entitled "what a VA can Accomplish in one hour or less" -- thanks to this forum!
A one-page more descriptive of my services and rates.
A bowl of some candy to draw more attention.

What else would anyone suggest for me to bring with me besides my smile, friendliness, and love of assisting!

I haven't done a business expo, but I have participated in Speed Networking events with my local chamber of commerce groups.

LOL @ the bowl of candy - if food doesn't draw them in, what will LOL!

Exactly my thought! Speed Networking - hummm, I only joined my chamber recently so if they haven't heard of speed networking, maybe I'll suggest it. I did speed networking with the local women's leadership group I belonged to a few years back. Thanks, Joy!

The event was a true success! Over 1,000 people attended (not all business people, mostly from people from our town looking for all the freebies!). I did receive 3 very good prospects, and two others that are good prospects. Very good in my book means, yes, they will use my services, and good is just a maybe! All in all it was a great day of relationship-building with the chamber and its members, the community and getting my name and business out there! I also met the owner of the local newspaper and he is interested in my services as well.

Thanks for sharing Terri, it gives great encouragement to try this locally. How did you hear about the meeting? From the Chamber website? I need to broaden my horizens per say, but lack the knowledge and sometimes the "time" of where to look for these things.
