Default Successful Bridal Show Yesterday
They had a bridal show at the convention center here yesterday and I got a free ticket so I went and I think I made some good contacts.

I handed out about 3-4 business cards. (It was a small event - this area isn't very populated) I collected about 10-15 business cards. I only got to talk to a couple people because it was so crowded.

But I made a couple contacts which is good - one lady has a pet sitting business and she was like - oh I need you - so that was good and she also is part of a local business group that meets once a week - it's $430 a year to join but she said she got her investment back in 6 weeks from referrals she got from the group. They have a visitor meeting on Feb. 2nd that anyone can attend. They only allow one type of each business in the group so that is a plus.

For follow up I sent a personal email to the ones I actually talked to and gave my card to. For the ones that I just took their card I sent them an email stating I got their info from the bridal show and this is who I am etc.

Has anyone else had success at a Bridal Show?

Bridal shows aren't my niche, but congratulations! What a great way to meet small business owners. I may decide to attend the one in my area in the spring. I think the price of the ticket would be well worth it! Thanks for the great idea!

Just wanted to say good for you for seeing the opportunity to get your business name out there and going for it!

It sounds like some really great possibilities came from this, and at the very least it was good practice for future networking events.
