Default Proper Pronunciation Tips for Public Speaking
I was traveling to my family in Pennsylvania this morning and a habit of mine is to listen to informative and interesting podcasts during my hour and a half drive.

In today's podcast queue I had several episodes from The Public Speaker - Quick & Dirty Tips for Improving your Communication Skills.

I must admit I oftentimes find myself mispronouncing certain words (even names -- there is another great episode on that topic too); sometimes to my embarrassment.

I found the following podcast about proper pronunciation interesting, informative and enjoyable:

http://publicspeaker.quickanddirtyti...unciation.aspx

In the first few moments, the host admits she is a born and raised New Jersey girl and if you are from the East Coast her comment about potato and tomato are spot on (and got a little giggle out of me ).

I listened to several episodes on my ride up -- they were an easy listen and some of the tips will certainly help out when going to your next networking meeting! Happy Listening.

Darlene, you always post the most interesting resources - this is great - especially with elevator speeches in mind. Even those thirty to sixty seconds can be nerve-wracking for someone who isn't a confident speaker.

Thank you for sharing!
