Default Professional Associations
Good morning ladies! Happy Friday!! Woohoo!! :happyda nce: Can you tell I'm happy?

I was wondering if anyone here works with a trade association. If so in what capacity? Meeting planning? Board Management? Certification and designation management?

What kind of internet-based programs do you use to perform data entry functions for programs? Do you provide it or do they give you access to what they have in place?

Would love any feedback!

So now it looks like two of your posts went by the wayside somehow - so strange! Hmmm....

Are you asking about working with an association in a client capacity or as a member for networking purposes?

I work for a Chamber of Commerce as a committee chair and serve on their board. I am not sure if that helps with what you are looking for, but I will be happy to provide additional information if you need it.

Client capacity. VA for trade associations.

Hi Doreen,

Thanks for asking but no, not on here. I found a little info from a few searches that I did on google.

I basically know what types of services I'd like to provide as a VA for an association but I'm not sure how I would deliver those services.

For instance an association I worked for had an online program in place that they used to enter all of the information that pertained to their annual meeting. The information was then exported and used to make the annual meeting program book. I entered a lot of the information that included symposiums, sessions, break-outs, who was speaking for which program. You could also register for the meeting within this program. Submit and grade abstracts. I remember who the vendor was but I'm sure such a heavy-duty program would cost some heavy duty bucks.

I worked for another association where I oversaw their accreditation program. That included uploading online courses, and tests as well as setting up a user in the system. This association actually had two databases. One was web-based and one that was not. At the time that I left, they were working on a solution to integrate the 2 which would have been extremely helpful.

Well anyway, sorry for such a long response. Thanks for asking!

I was wondering if anyone had ideas on delivery methods.
