It's a great idea. I read an article somewhere that talked about having your name be unique from all the other handwritten name tags as a way to be memorable. If they are really unique they can be a conversation starter. I think the article also mentioned not just putting your name on the name tag, but to try something like "Ask me what I do" or some other catchy phrase that would get their attention.

Sue, quick question, how strong are the magnets, would they work through jackets or just jumpers and blouses?
The magnets are VERY strong. I was surprised at how hard I had to pull to get it to come apart. Then I realized that is I sort of slid it off sideways that worked best. Yes, you'll be happy with them and they work great even through a jacket.

Kimberly, I love that idea about 'Ask what I do'...that is a great icebreaker. Thanks, I will use that.

This thread is funny, because I was just thinking about getting a name tag made, because I'm tired of having all those sticky tags in my car after events. I like the magnetic tag idea. There is one man in my area who networks a lot and he has a lighted tag - like a marqee sign. One thing, everyone knows Jack.
