I Remember You!
As we network and meet new people we all collect business cards. As you talk to people try to find out a little about them personally as well as their current and prior business lives and make a note of it, then enter that information when you put them in your contact list. If that person contacts you six months, a year or whenever from now just flip up their contact info and you can confidently say "Hi Joe, how's the wife, child, parakeet, pet frog? What have you been up to?" You remember them, they matter to you. Immediately you have begun to build a rapport.
