That's a good idea. Everyone wants something for FREE so offering free consultations is awesome. Good point from your personal coach.

I think the Walk & Talk is a great idea! I'm new as a VA and will certainly use that as a starting point for getting myself out there. By giving the potential client a choice, you're putting the control in his/her hands, which can relate to starting a great working relationship.

I am going to try this. I have a shipment of business and post cards coming in. This will be my first attempt in getting a client.

Wow Beth, that is great. I tried that when I was looking for a paralegal office job but I didn't ask for an appointment. I'm going to have to try that for my virtual business. Thank you for the great info.

Wow @On_Time_Virtual_Assistant! However, my experience walking door to door was not successful. However, Im sure it had everything to do with my sales skills at the time.

When I first started off I did the door to door approach to local business with no success, but like others was a little green and didn't really know what to say. I was just winging it.

I really like the Walk and Talk idea and the giving them two appointments to choose from. Great ideas! Think I'll try to get something together here soon for that. It is a nice time of year to do that.

Nice post and great question! Love it!
