Great Tips on Networking
Good morning,

I wanted to share a link that I found on effective network marketing, it is titles Top Tips for Effective Marketing written on the ActionCoach website. It is well worth the read, and worth adopting some of the ideas contained within.

I absolutely love this list, I especially like the ides of going to meetings witha goal in mind of the number of cards you are going to give out. Fabulous idea!

Enjoy!

Good article!

I totally agree with choosing your networking groups carefully before joining. I joined a group where every meeting was consistently dominated by one individual who liked to hear himself talk. The group coordinator tried to steer the conversation to include the other business owners but that typically only lasted for a very short period of time before it was back to the one individual and his business. Of course, this same individual never helped promote the group or refer the other business owners, he just wanted to promote his own business.

I am no longer a member of this group because it was simply a waste of my time.

Great article and touchpoints - I will say though that Number 8 [Always follow up on the people you have met after the event - remember, networking is the start of the sales process, not the end.] should come with a caveat - follow up with a sincere interest in the other person's business. All too often I hear stories of people following up with someone they met at a networking event and really pushing a hard sell, without any real consideration for the person they are talking to, their industry, or their pain points.

Thanks for posting this!
