Default Got my first client from networking event
Hi there,

I have spend some time attending networking events, two women in business groups, the Chamber of Commerce meeting, Business Development Unit course, etc. and I get lots of positive feedback.

The Chamber of Commerce rang me to ask if I could help a consulting business with their reports. Their admin person didn't know how to properly design and layout reports. I designed a proper report template with their logo and details and sent it to them as an example The consultant was really happy and said it was brilliant, so now I'm going to teach the admin person how to do reports, develop a manual on how to write business documents and am also proofreading the consultant's articles.

I've also received two emails from other businesses owners who I have met at other networking events and they have asked me if I would be doing work for them in the near future.

So guys and girls, get out networking!!!

Heike, that's wonderful news. And I love that you're teaching as part of the project... You go girl!

Networking works.. I'm glad you are seeing the value!! and don't stop just because you got a few clients.. make it a regular part of your marketing.

Congratulations Heike!

Way to go as you have them calling you and you not responding to an RFP. It's great when you have put your efforts into networking and they start to pay off. I agree with Tamikar, keep the networking going.

Best wishes for your business.

Sheila
