Using YouTube For Marketing
I am a HUGE believer that video marketing is GREAT for your business. I sat down today and created a video and have uploaded it to YouTube, this is my FIRST for my business, so if you can provide any feedback, suggestions on changes, etc it would be greatly appreciated.
Also if you have any tips or links to videos you have made for marketing purposes I would love to watch them to get tips!

Re: Using YouTube For Marketing
Brandy - Good start! What about adding some music under the voice over?
I agree with you that video is the most powerful communication.

Re: Using YouTube For Marketing
Nice job Brandy. I agree with Mary, how about some music...it can be very subtle or you can use it on intro and exit only. You have a very friendly sounding voice and that worked nicely with your video. I really like how you added in images from your twitter account and website, by the way. Maybe in your next video, you can add some actual footage of yourself too!
I am a firm believer that video and audio are great ways to market yourself. It shows another side of you that can sometimes get lost on paper.

I used Screenhunter for the screen shots, paint.net for my written part and Windows Movie Maker. However the next time around I May use my Muvee Reveal software to add a bit of "flare" to it.
I also may use my FLIP and have hubby record me so I can have some footage of me, as stated above from another member.
Love the feedback, I was disappointed that it did not come out as GREAT as I wanted, but it was my first for this type of video so I know they can only get better from here

Thank you very much! I hope to release a "better" one next week or maybe do one once a month.
What do you think - twice or once a month marketing video?
Thanks,
Brandy

Re: Using YouTube For Marketing
Hi Brandy,
If you have time for two...that is great. However, it can be time consuming..so once a month is a good start. In either case, please let us know when the new ones are up, would love to see them.

Re: Using YouTube For Marketing
Thanks! I am just new without any "full time" clients so I have plenty of time to market. I actually am planning on using my weekends to market, writing comes natural to me, and videos are really easy for me to make!
Thinking my next one will be "me", getting my tri-pod this week for my FLIP so should be easy to set up at my desk and record :-) Just have to make sure the little ones are napping OR do it when my sister is here to help me watch boys so I can get work done.
Thanks so much I love this forum!

Re: Using YouTube For Marketing
Brandy,
I agree with Mary to add some music. Music would add more impact. Also, I would do a marketing video every two week for a 6 times and then once a month. Search engines love video and it would drive traffic to your website.

Question about Search Engines and video - can search engines really pick up video?
I will be using Muvee Reveal which adds music easily too! I love all the feedback and look forward to it!
I actually offer this as a service on my VA site :-)

Re: Using YouTube For Marketing
Yes Brandy search engines can grab video. Use of relevant keywords in the video description text boxes is one key. Some other Search Engine experts hopefully will chime in and elaborate more on this.

Re: Using YouTube For Marketing
Weeelllll, as I understand it, search engines can't 'see' a picture or video, so your tags and other descriptions, etc. are very important when you're distributing. If you want your video to show up in searches, the written parts of submissions are the tags search engines will go by.
