Default Use Audio Testimonials to Promote Your Virtual Business - Your Virtual Wizard Blog
Testimonials are important tool for promoting any business. Potential customers want to learn more about your work before they make a commitment. Testimonials offer that customer a unique opportunity to ‘get to know you’ through the eyes of a third party.

If a potential customer is ‘on the fence’ about whether to sign with a virtual assistant, often a good testimonial could positively influence that final decision. Additionally, potential clients may peruse a virtual assistant’s website before requesting a consultation call so it essential to have a solid stack of testimonials available; helping to ‘break the ice’ during that call.

Good, detailed testimonials are ‘proof’ that what ...Click here to read the rest of this post at Your Virtual Wizard.

This is such a great idea Janine - I'd never thought to ask for an audio testimonial and have always just used textual content. Thanks for the detailed info on how to use Google Voice to obtain the testimonials as well!

Thanks, Tess.

Since I have had audio testimonials on my blog for several months now, I noticed that the bounce rate has decreased and has kept folks on my site a bit longer.

Interesting... that makes sense - you've given people a truly intriguing reason to stick around. It's a huge bonus that it's audio of existing clients extolling your virtues as a service provider!

It doesn't hurt that you have valuable, interesting content in the blog itself as well.

Janine,
I love this idea. Thank you for sharing.
One note on one of the testimonials - when clicking on one of them, the audio starts - then opens to Trustworthy Coaching's website before the audio finishes. It happens on the testimonial from Martyn L. Daniel.

Hi Melissa,

Thanks, I made the code correction.

I retested again and the audio runs fine.

I love to listen to the audios, particularly when I have had a slow day...it's nice to have a pick-me-up since I don't actually 'see' my clients!

Thanks!

Janine

Great idea, but how did your clients feel about doing them and how did you approach the client about it?

Hi Rhonda,

I put together a nice email asking for an audio testimonial with step by step instructions as to how to call in etc.

I asked each client to mention one problem that I solved for them.

I specified a date for the request.

All but one client did everything I asked. It took her about 3 weeks to do it but I was persistent in a polite way and she eventually obliged. It was the end of our contract so her interest level was low.

Most thought the process was easier than writing a textual testimonial.

The approach was no different than asking them for a written testimonial.
