We just got the third advert produced and published...
http://www.businesscornerstoneservic...s_releases.php
It took a little longer as there were some changes we wanted and there were a couple of "typos" or whatever the radio equivalent is.
In answer to some of the (much appreciated) feedback...
Production of each 60 second advert cost $250. We had a face to face with the "talent" and then several phone calls and email exchanges to fine tune the message.
We were very lucky in that the local "comedy voice of the radio" was available and well known through her other adverts.
Our market was FM Talk Radio as we thought we should be aiming for the mature (35-65) business decision making audience and we have two slots on the morning show (to catch people on the way to work) and one on the Clark Howard show at lunch to catch people on their break when they are listening to consumer and business issues.
We have invested another $1,500 to get the air time for 6 weeks; 3 before Thanksgiving to get the message in people's minds then 3 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas to get people thinking about tax, year end accounts, new budgets etc.
Total outlay approx $2,250 - but the copyright of the adverts is ours to keep so we can use it on our web site, YouTube, other radio stations etc.
If this takes off, we have an idea to use me (an Englishman) in a kind of geico take off for the next adverts. What do you guys and gals think when you hear "English Animal"? Obviously the Gecko has been done so I need a cudly, friendly animal to associate with our business...
Thanks again for your feedback; I'll let you know what ROI we get.
