Default Marketing Presentations
Hello all

Do any of you use them? If so how and what format?

No, I don't. I just refer people to my website.

I personally dont put together a "formal" presentation for my business, but in previous jobs I've used Power Point. Now, when I meet with a potential client it's just an informal meeting, usually at Starbucks or Panera Bread, and we just chat about what the client needs. Then I'll create a proposal in Word and email it.

I'm thinking of doing one in PowerPoint or some web format for possibly emailing. Does anyone thing that something interactive is more attention grabbing as opposed to something that is just words needing to be read?

A PP or more formal presentation would probably be appropriate if you were marketing to a group of people (management team of a larger firm, for example), but might be a bit extraneous for small business or solo companies.

I agree, you have to tailor your presentation to meet the needs of your audience. I think I'd feel kind of funny doing a power point presentation for a meeting with a business owner, just the two of us. If it were a group of people a Power Point would probably be the best way to go. Interactive would definitely work better for a group - handing them something to read would take the momentum out of your presentation, plus they would be focusing on the materials in their hands instead of what you were saying.

I agree with the powerpoint presentation. I am going to a women conference in Atlanta and I am working on my powerpoint presentation with smooth jazz music. My marketing idea is to capture a potiential clients attention and curiosity with a presentation that they'll remember. Followed up with fliers, brochures, business cards or audio CD describing my services. Hope this help.

I have a Power Point that I use for trade shows - I run it on my laptop in a continuous loop so people can walk by and take a look at it.

I kind of like the Starbucks and Panera idea for presenting yourself to potential clients, however, I see the value of PowerPoint presentations too! It's hard to know!

I have a PowerPoint too. It is on my linkedin page. I do meet local potentials at Starbucks (It is my fave place in the whole world outside of my home and helps me relax).
