Default Strategic Partnership
I've been doing alot of networking over the past few weeks and I've met two individuals who were interested in forming partnerships - one was a corporate suites company, and the other a web/multi-media designer.

The corporate suites company never got back to me after our initial conversation which makes me question his professionalism.

The web/multi-media designers work does not impress me at all, but we have the same target market. I could benefit from his connections but I don't think I want to use him as a partner in business.

So... how to proceed? Of course the latter would like to get together to talk about being that web design partner...

How do you let someone know you don't want to partner with them or do you just not send them work?

Default Re: Strategic Partnership
I would just state to them that while you appreciate their offer this is not the direction you are currently taking with your business. in the meantime, should that change you will gladly discuss options with them again. I would also say that you will keep them in mind for anyone you feel may need there services. This gets you out of a firm commitment to send them work.

If you are not impresses with the designers, do you really want to partner with them? It is also your reputation that is on the line with that partnership.
