Default How Should I Announce my 'Team'?
I almost have my 'team' in place, just waiting on one more signed contract.

In the mean time, I've been working on the announcement, I thought I'd send two, one to my mailing list and the other to my chamber of commerce list. I'll send the announcement just after I update our website to reflect the addition of the team.

Has anyone else done this? When I talk to potential clients (PC) I have started using the vernacular of 'we' and 'us' . So they know in advance that they may be working with someone other than me...I'm not worried about losing clients because as 'our' reputation grows it will be because of my entire team.

I welcome your comments and suggestions...

Viki, first - congratulations on the growth of your practice!

While I haven't had the experience of introducing a new team to my clientele I do have the usual annoucements regarding rate changes, vacation days, etc. and I have always found that simple and straightforward is best and I try to give ample notice, with a follow up right before the impending change or event takes place.

It sounds like you have your bases covered and are just about ready to inform your clients, I'm sure they'll be very happy to know you've created a practice that can service their growing needs from many different angles.

Again, congrats!

Congrats. If you have a newsletter you could introduce each member through that?

Hi

Congratulations! That is awesome. Definitely a press release. Also, maybe even a small media kit for your website that is downloadable that has it all together, cover letter, press release, bio, etc. That way someone can get all the information on the team in one place. Just a thought!

thanks!

Great idea Diana, thanks!

By the way, I started my practice by using information in your book; "Vrtual Assistant, The Series', I LOVE it!

Hi Viki,

Congratulations on the growth of your business!

When my husband joined me in the business, I announced it on my blog and in our newsletter, added him to our website, and sent an email to our clients to let them know he would be handling some of their work.

Now when I speak with new clients, I always explain that we work together as a team and that he may be doing some or all of their work.

Janet

I was wondering about this. We are already a team - a group practice from the start. I can't decide between highlighting skills or highlighting persons on the web site. What works best for you folks?

We had that same struggle at first. Maybe best if you start with each listing your individual skills and see how much overlap there is. I found it to be a good exercise, then you may see you want to highlight skills, then add a paragraph about the each of you to summarize your background. Just a thought.

Good luck!
