Carrie,
When I first began my VA journey, I went into it thinking I would be on my own. It was only a few months before I discovered the Multi-VA business model and knew right away it was where I was going.
I had this vision of being able to help new VA's get their start by allowing them an avenue to getting experience as well as teaching them how to work with clients (what works for me anyway).
I have enjoyed every minute of it and have found many new friends because of it.
Becoming a Multi-VA takes a lot hard work, more than being a solo VA. You not only have to oversee all of your clients, but you have to keep on top of your VA's as well.
If you decide to go this route be sure to have some processes in place before bringing on your first VA.
A good contract is first and foremost with a list of your expectations of the relationship.
Next would be a reporting/time tracking system so you can easily assign tasks and the VA can easily submit their time for payment.
It's a fun ride, if you are sure you're up for it
