Today is the last day on our subcontractor topic of training/mentoring/coaching. An important part to getting good training is having available funds to receive services. Lets talk about how or where we can go to find differnt scholarship programs for training.
From researching the web I know some of the programs offer their own but has anyone come across sites specific for virtual assistants to obtain funding?
How many of you would be interested in learning more about funding?
I think it would be extremely valuable, especially for startup VAs, to have some financial assistance for various educational opportunities (software, marketing, etc.).
Let me do some brainstorming. I will be sure and put scholarship resources on my list of topics for 2010. By that time I may have some ideas. If anyone else comes up with any PM me.
This is definitely an important issue for a startup VA business as well as one that is looking to expand. Count me in on more discussions on this issue and I will definitely like to assist with finding out more info about what is out there for us.
Just found out about some gov't funding for a certification program. I will have to see if this is something I can have my mentor discuss with our group in further detail. I'll keep you all posted.
