Default Time zone converter

Today, while trying to calculate the real-time call in hour for a teleseminar I just registered for I ran across this great little program that will help you figure out what time/date it is practically anywhere else in the world for any time/date.

The World Clock is such a great tool, and with many of us being both virtual AND global (either with ourselves or clients in other time zones or countries) this handy little system could be difference between making or missing that Skype meeting we absolutely MUST be present for or teleconference we so badly wanted to attend.

I have been using InstantTimezone.com. It is a free download and the 'clock' stays in your the tray next to your computer clock. You can have multiple 'clocks' in your tray and all you have to do is run your mouse over the clock to see the time and location in another part of the country or world. I have clients on the East and West Coasts as well in the Mid-west so this is very helpful when making phone calls or sending emails to them. (I hope I put the link in correctly).

I've been using world clock since I started my business. Being down under people tend to forget that I'm in a different time zone and I usually have to work it out myself.

That makes sense. World Clock looks like something I might use down the line as my business grows and moves to other parts of the world.

I like instanttimezone because I can have multiple clocks sitting in my system tray and any time I need to see what time it is in different parts of the US or even across the ocean all I have to do is run my mouse over the little icon and instantly I know that in Germany it is 7:37 am (if it is 11:37 pm where I am at).

When I schedule meetings w/clients in different parts of the country, I schedule it in their time zone and then use instanttimezone clocks to see what time I have to set it up for me in my calendar. I did have to set up the different clocks, (I think I used World Clock to set up my clocks in Germany and London), but now they are there all the time. You can show upto 9 clocks in your system tray.

Have a great weekend everyone. Thanks for letting me share.

I really like the idea of having multiple permanent clocks in the tray for quick and easy reference - thanks for posting this!

I remember the thread.
One other option that I use when I'm feeling a bit lazy is to just Google 'Time in _____' and it will show the local time result for whatever major city you're checking at the top of the search result
