Default Where to from here!
Hi, I already have a client, a registered business name, a business number, a logo and working on a website. What are the most important things to get together first and foremost. It feels like I'm all over the place at the moment and not getting anything constructive done!

My train of thought is:
get contracts ready
price list (have to get this done but struggling a bit)
website / business cards
maybe welcome pack for new clients?

Am I on the right track or is there something else I should be doing first or in a different order?

Hi Susan. I totally sympathize! Sometimes is feels like you are running in place. One thing that has been the most difficult for me starting out is balancing the work I already have to do with buisness building work. I think it is difficult because it takes a while to see results. Being new myself, I would suggest putting together a basic resume with samples of your work and references. Most new clients want to see your work samples and have references from people you have already done work for. If you have a something put together, you will be able to respond faster.

Hi Susan, welcome
You're smart to have 'contracts' at the top of your remaining to-do list!
I'd be sure to add 'define ideal client' - it'll help you tremendously when it comes time to start marketing your business to be aware of exactly who you're marketing to and why.

Great to have you here at VAF, looking forward to reading your posts.
