It's beautiful, isn't it? My family are from York originally but I was raised in London. All the family have now moved back. My kids were reluctant to move but now they are really happy, loving school and have a really good network of friends; more so than in London which can be quite intimidating, especially for teenagers.

So that's another post... I am on my way.

I was born just outside of the City of Lincoln, which is where I currently live. I moved away as a teenager and moved back here to get married. York is a much bigger city than Lincoln, but it still has that lovely friendly feel when you visit. I'm hoping to get back up there in the not too distant future....

I haven't been to Lincoln. I've been to Stamford, which is very pretty. I love those old towns and cities. I travel abroad quite a bit to visit far flung places and have just realised that it is a pity to do that when we have so many places to see here in the UK. It's the weather that puts one off isn't it? Still I am sure that just like York, Lincoln looks pretty in the rain too.

My husband and I (oooh how Royal does that sound lol), spend a lot of time travelling abroad and only this year have we started spending more time travelling in our own country lol!

We joined English Heritage so we visit lots of historic sites, it has really opened our eyes to how beautiful our own country is!

Our cathedral is set high up on a hill and dominates the skyline. If any of you guys get the chance to visit I guarnatee you will be in awe of it.

Oh and yes it does look pretty (ish) in the rain, which we seem to be having plenty of at the moment

Re: Where have you been all my life?
This is my 14th post. I'm getting there.

York too has a cathedral, although you may offend some Yorkies if you call it that to them. It is the Minster. It too stands majestically and to me it is a welcome sight. It means I am home. I have seen photos of your cathedral and it is an awesome sight. I am sure I would love to visit it. York Minster has a huge stain glass window. I think it is one of the biggest in the world! Don't take my word for it though, I might be wrong.

I am going to start touting for business locally first and see what sort of reception I get. There is a credit crunch after all and temporary staff agencies are expensive and it is hit and miss as to whether the temporary staff will be any good. I know I am. I think it would be worth building up a local client base if possible and establishing my presence where I can build face to face business relationships and then see where that leads.

Can you let me know if there is any software or skills I would definitely need in today's VA market?

Perhaps I should have put these questions in different posts to get my numbers up. Oh well, I was on a roll.

Look forward to hearing what everyone thinks.

I like it here. I might stick around.
