Default Transitioning From The Corporate World
Hello,

My name is Nancy. I have worked in the corporate world as an administrative assistant for many years. Recently, the company where I worked closed the office. I really don't want to go back into the corporate world. I would like to become a virtual assistant. At this point, I need a lot of direction to get on the right track. I feel that I have found the right place! I am so glad that I found this forum.

You have a much needed resource for anyone who wants to transition from an administrative assistant in the corporate world, and utilize their skills in a business of their own.

Thank you so much for being here!

Nancy

Hi Nancy

Welcome!

It is always a great feeling to get to the place where you know you are ready to be your own boss. Savour it, for there will be moments when you doubt, and you will need to go back to that place to remind yourself of the 'why's'.

I recently joined the forum and have already found some very useful information, like the link below which may help you to determine what is your entrepreneurial style.

Best.

Nancy the reason I chose to subcontract is exactly for this reason. Please join our subcontractors group for some great resources to get started.

I am thinking about transitioning into a full time VA too. Its always scary transitioning for a secured pay, into one where you are solely responsible for bringing in the income. Good luck to you!

Yes, it an uneasy feeling stepping outside of your comfort zone. However, with the help and support of everyone in this community and many others, I feel motivated and ready to go for it.
