My name is Terri Randall and I am in the process of doing research and starting up my new VA business. I’m hoping to be up and running by the end of January. I am 44 years old and have 25 years in the health insurance industry in a variety of positions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, New Business, Agent Support, and Customer Service Supervisor. I am hoping to be able to utilize my skills and find my niche market in this new endeavor. I live in Sacramento, CA, and have been here since 1979. I have a 20 year old daughter, a 16 year old son (who lives with his father about an hour away) and a 22 month old granddaughter who is my treasure. I have several medical issues which have prevented me from going back to the corporate world this past year so I have decided to take a step of faith and use this as an opportunity to start my own business. I am extremly excited and have the full support of my boyfriend in this endeavor. I even have my first client ready and waiting. I look forward to getting to know many of you and am so happy to have found this network. Merry Christmas!

(Southern California) I used to live in Stockton about 9 years ago and really miss Northern California. Hi Terri, I am so happy for you trying this new endevor. I also just started with the VA Enterprise, however I am very nervous about all this stuff. Like you, I know my skills, but I am just not sure how to present them to others to get jobs. I think you are very lucky to have clients waiting in the wings. Still trying to figure out how to "do" the selling of myself. I never was a sales person and unsure about my abilities on that one... Good luck!
