Default Seeking ways to build my business
Hi, I'm Stacy-Ann. I recently registered my virtual business like 2 months ago, and I'm looking for ways to promote and attract clients. I did a search for VA forums and stumbled upon this one and I decide to join as a support to assist me. So nice to meet you guys, looking forward to meeting new friends.

Welcome! There are many many ways to promote your business (many ways are free) to attract clients and there are ways to go out and find clients. A lot of it depends on your niche and where they hang out. If you work with internet marketers you could attend any number of live events throughout the year - many VAs can get a full client roster just by attending a live event.
What I tell a lot of new VAs is to find out where their target market hangs out and then go there. Basically, step in front of the parade...

Lots of good resources and advice here - I only joined a few weeks ago and many here are so willing to share so don't be afraid to ask

Hi Stacy-Ann, welcome to VAF. I can truly tell that this is the best place to be for everyone, not only newbies.
I agree with Lisa, you have to hang out where your niche hangs out, but that's not all. Taking their business cards is one thing but builidng a relationship with prospects is another thine. I've seen numerous people exchanging business cards at networking events but they never follow up to get to know their prospects better. Try it out, phone them the day or so after the event, just to "say you've enjoyed the conversation or something like that" and keep in touch regularly (once a month). You will be amazed at the results.

Hello! There are so many tools here, everything from marketing on down to what your niche is and lots of good tips and sharing!! Some of the suggestions I have seen are mailing post cards, chamber of commerce meetings, and listings in your local papers! Definitely would have to say work of mouth is the best though! Good Luck!! Whatever you need I am sure you will find here!

Hi Stacy-Ann
Welcome to the forum! I also in the start up stage and am in the marketing phase. As so many others have mentioned, this forum certainly has an abundance of information. I actually find the wealth of information to be addicting and am sometimes on for hours at a time. If you're ever on at the same time, maybe we can chat

Good luck!
