Default Open for Business - Dallas Legal V.A.
Hello to everyone out there at this fantastic forum site! I am so excited to start this new venture.

I am a 35 yr old mother of 4 kids - yes, that's 4! I have 3 girls and 1 boy. My oldest is a 16 yr old girl, then a 14 yr old boy, a 7 yr old girl and a 2 yr old girl. Needless to say it's never quiet at my house, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

I have spent the last 15 years in the legal field. I worked for 3 different law firms over the first 10 years of my career and the last 5 years I worked for a legal software company, where I had the guilty pleasure of working from home when I wasn't traveling.

My husband's job situation changed back in February of this year - it came with a nice pay increase, but also required him to travel as well. There was no way we both could travel with four kids at home so I had to make the decision to leave the company I was at.

Since Feb I have tried everything I could to find ways to work from home - yes, I got quite spoiled that last 5 years! I built a nice client network working for the legal software company, and have dealt with law firms all over the United States. I have picked up projects/jobs here and there for some of my past clients since Feb doing a little bit of everything - secretarial work, paralegal work, intakes, transcription, you name it, I've done it!

I finally decided to make it official and start my own V.A. business just recently. I am super excited to make this work. I even have a few other girls that are "on call" for jobs that I can't do myself (for lack of time). I am ready to hit the ground running and finally got my website up and have started my first email campaign.

I look forward to utilizing all the amazing tools on VAF to help get my business going. Although I am a bit apprehensive at jumping in to my first real business, I am totally excited too.

Anyone out there please feel free to check out my website - I am totally open to any and all constructive criticism that you can give.

Thank you, in advance, for all of the support and help on this site. What an amazing resource for all VA's young and old!
