Hello everyone! WOW! This is a great site. I'm thrilled to have found it. I am in the planning stages of leaving my full-time office job to become a WAHM. I have been working on it since this summer when I had a very hard time finding 'good' full-time daycare for my three children. I am hoping to find most of my work during the school year and reduce my hours during the summer to cut daycare costs. I look forward to making many new friends and associates in my Virtual Assistant career path.
Welcome to the forum you have made a great decision by researching the industry before moving from the security of employment. There are lots of other VAs here that are doing the same thing. If you have any questions just post and you will get a answer from the community.
I'm a newbie too, so you're in good company. I have been reading lots of threads and everyone seems so supportive and full of great information. I've discovered lots of new products that I wasn't aware of.

You are definitely not alone! I'm in a very similar situation. I will be moving soon and leaving my full-time office manager job. Starting a new business is tough, to be sure and involves plenty of planning and decision making.
