Default Newbie from Nz and UK
Hi there,

I'm so relieved to find this forum and hope to network with a few other VA's. I'm in the very early stages of building up my business. Currently working on my Logo and Website.

Anyway I would love to get in contact with anyone really but especially people in New Zealand (Auckland) and the UK as I will be based in both. I'm currently in New Zealand but will be moving to the UK in a month or so and will be based in London for approximately a year.

Is anyone able to advise of any networking events (preferably with other VA's to start with) or anything else that maybe helpful to someone just setting up?

Looking forward to getting to know you.

Amber Dixon

There are a good handful (or more!) of VAs here from England and I seem to recall one or two from NZ??? Anyway, I know you'll find everything here that you need. We're glad you found us.

Hi Amber, welcome to the forums
If you're looking for local VAs be sure to check out the Virtual Assistant Networking forum - VAs post there when they're looking to set up a local meetup. Chances are there has been a thread started for London, but if there's nothing recent you're welcome to start your own.

Also check the Social Groups for VA groups near you. Again, if you don't see one that applies to you you can always start one. Social Groups are member started and member run.

Wishing you much success!

Welcome to the forum Amber. You should find plenty of resources here to answer your questions and help you along the way. As mentioned above, there are other members from your area.

I would also suggest checking into the podcasts available, they helped me out tremendously on a variety of topics.

Good luck

Hello Amber

Welcome from another UK based VA, although I'm a "northerner" - based in Yorkshire

You will find all the info you need on here to help you, and the advice from the experienced VAs on here is phenomenal!
