Hello Everyone,

My name is Tina and I've recently started the ball rolling on my VA business. I'm really not sure how this is suppose to work so I'm looking for advice from folks who have already been in the business a while.

I kind of fell into this. I've been utilizing my skills to customize wordpress themes to help authors develop a presence online. I also spent a year being a virtual operations manager for a small publisher (which I loved). I want to formalize this part time "thing" I've been doing into a business and so I've set up a website and signed up here.

I would love to get your thoughts on what I'm offering and how I've set things up. I've narrowed down my niche to the publishing industry but I'm not sure I've done anything else.

I'd recommend posting a thread in the Website Reviews section for more direct feedback on your site (if that's what you're looking for).

I took a quick peek at your home page and it's nice and clean but does not tell me at first glance what you do (that you're a virtual author's assistant, or aiming for the publishing industry). I think there are a lot of ways you can do that and still maintain the same look/feel on your site by using images that showcase your niche and language/headlines that clearly reach out to your target market (authors).
