Afternoon, all! My name is Anne and I've just dipped my toes in the VA waters. I'm currently a full-time administrative assistant in Central Kentucky (USA) and want to offer my services to people outside my company and earn some extra income.

My company is called "My Favorite Secretary" and offers general administrative services, desktop publishing, data entry, word processing, presentation design, travel arrangements and internet research: everything an in-office secretary would do but without the "in office" part.

I'm thrilled to find this forum and look forward to learning from everyone else.

I haven't ventured out too far with the business yet but I have made a few contacts and am starting to spread the word. My goal is to get my first client by the end of this month.

I am amazed that there's so much information here at our fingertips, and I often find myself saying "How come it's taken me this long to find this?" the more I read and get to know this forum.
