Hey all - I feel like I've struck a goldmine with this site!
My name is Marg and as the title says - I'm from Nova Scotia, Canada. I'm currently in the "research realm" right now. I've wanted to work from home for so long (to be with my kids) but it's just never seemed like it would be feasible.
I took two years to do the college thing - one year for medical office administration, and one year for graphic/web design (I know - two TOTALLY different avenues!)
I was hoping to find a way to combine the skills to work from home - and well - after finding this forum, I'm convinced I can do so. If only I can get over these jitters!

I've been silently creeping the threads in here for the last week, and I can't believe the wealth of information within these pages - you guys are great! So I figured it was time to jump on board and start interacting, asking questions, and RESEARCH some more LOL!

Anyway, sorry for the babble.. I tend to do that

This truly is an amazing group of people. For every question I've had, so far I've managed to find an answer. It helps a lot with the self-esteem to know that I'm not the only one who's had a thousand questions along with worries and doubts. I know I am good at what I do, just sometimes that little voice of doubt sneaks up on me! I love reading all the posts! Thankfully it's the weekend and there are no major plans here, I was pretty useless today after being on here from 7pm last night until 6am this morning! My how time goes by! I have a notebook beside my computer to take notes of everything!
I look forward to continued learning, getting to know the folks here, and maybe helping if I can!

Welcome Marg! We all had to start somewhere, but having the VAF as a resource makes the beginning so much easier. Take it step by step, ask lots of questions, and before you know it you'll be on your way. Good luck!
