Default Newbie in France
Hello
I seem to have so many forums, one for living in France, one for chickens, one for IT work, never going to find the time to be a VA !

I am Carol, English, but uprooted my family to find a nicer life here in France. Been here 2 years Teleworking doing IT Support/Helpdesk work. The project came to an end in September, and I need an income as quickly as possible.

I've been looking at being a VA as I love working from home, and have bags of IT skills and experience. After extensive research I plan to go into partnership with my mother-in-law who lives nearby and is a translator (French/English) by trade and also works from home.

Looking forward to meeting you all and getting some valuable information.

Hobbies are looking after my 6 hens, and having fun with my 2 daughters, donkey, duck, and sheep

Hi Carol, how lovely that you and your family have found such a peaceful existence in the French countryside. We were abroad for a while but have just returned to the States...

I'm sure if you invest the amount of time that you were spending on your previous contract on building your new business, you'll be able to launch your VA practice in no time. And what a perk that you'll be able to offer translation services - I'm guessing that's pretty rare in the industry and definitely marketable.

Welcome to the forums

Hi and welcome: I'm sure you do great at whatever you choose. Sounds like you have tons of experience. I love chickens. We had a farm for many years. Raised dairy goats also.
