I found out about this site by my twitter friend Gwynne who also lives in michigan like myself. I am looking into a career change and hoping this is the right one for me.

Previously a reporter for local paper and have a bachelor's in journalism from CMU. worked a few years as a recording secretary for planning commision. Have my own petsitting business. I do have the writing experience and want to be able to make a living from that talent.

I look forward to learning all there is to know about virtual assistants and making friends

right now I am still looking into my options I already have a paypal account and a seperate bank account not sure about the cost of hosting a website

Hi and welcome to VA Forums This site is full of useful information, it basically led me through all the steps of starting my business. There are a few options when it comes to websites, but to get something up and going, Microsoft Office Live Small Business offers a free website for 1 year. I currently use it and so far have no complaints. I am slowly working on something more permanent, but to get started it's been fabulous. I believe that homestead and godaddy also have some very reasonable options available. Good luck on your new venture!
