Default New to VAF
Hello. I am new to VAF. I will be launching my business soon. What tips would you seasoned VA's offer to a "newbie" like myself?

Thanks

Hi and welcome to the boards!
My personal tip is this: be prepared to truly invest your time and energy in the development of your own business before expecting clients to pay you to help them with theirs. If you're good at what you do, you'll find that your clients will do much of your marketing FOR you, via referrals.

Wishing you much success in reaching your goals!

Hello and Welcome!

Congratulations on the launch of your business. I look forward to conversing with you.

My tip would be not to get discouraged if your client base is low. (Hopefully that won't happen to you.) But if you find that you are not as busy as you would like to be look at the downtime as an opportunity to regroup and rethink your marketing strategy. Read through your business plan and make changes that you believe will stir the pot again.

Perhaps that might be spending more time on your blog or reworking your website. Whatever you decide to do, just don't be discouraged. Come here to the boards and look around at the varying categories for tips and ideas from other VAs. Ask questions and try something new.

Good luck!

Janine
