My name is Randi, I am currently searching for ways that I can utilize my experience and skills. Being a VA is totally new to me and sounds exciting. I am looking forward to checking out this forum. Any advice for "Newbies" would be appreciated!

Welcome to the forum! You will find lots of great advice and resources here. My advice for any VA that is starting out is to have faith and to be sure that you have the necessary "basics" in place before you open your virtual doors! This means, business plan, marketing plan, business cards, necessary business license (if required in your town), appropriate software and your target market in mind! Start networking and telling everyone you know what you do!

Doreen gave you a great piece of advice; and there's lots more for those who are just getting started in our forum topic sections so my best advice is to have a look around and read some of the existing posts - add to them with your own questions or comments and feel free to start a new one if you find yourself with even more questions than when you started.

One of the best things you can do for yourself as you're starting out is surround yourself with a community of support, and you'll definitely find that here. There are VAs of every level of experience from brand-new to 15 years+ in practice.
