Hello ~
I am excited to be on board this site and for the enthusiasm and camaraderie this site exudes.
I was inspired to enter the real estate niche by a RE agent who enthusiastically promoted the career path of virtual assistant, particularly a REVA.
I registered my business name as a .com domain just yesterday, and I plan to take the summer to write a business plan, build my personal website, and prepare to launch my REVA business.
As indicated by my business name, "EcoGreenREVA", I am very interested in sustainability, everything "green", AND Real Estate. In fact, my first plan was to enter the Real Estate field, it was while exploring that possibility I learned about the career path of REVA and the more I thought about pursuing that path, the more it grew on me as an excellent opportunity. In fact, it appears to be THE career I have been, unknowingly, preparing to enter for many years. I bring to the table experience in everything from website design to working as a paralegal, with plenty of administrative assistant and entrepreneurial experience.
The career of REVA interests me because it appears to be a multi-faceted and challenging niche within the VA field. The geek in me can flourish in the nitty-gritty of web design & virtual tours and exploring/exploiting new-media technologies such as Facebook and Twitter. My past experience as a paralegal will come into play in preparing for closing transactions, and my entrepreneurial spirit will constantly be engaged in both my own career growth, but also as I support agents in obtaining their career goals.
Once I get enough business to justify the transition, my husband of 18 years plans to come on board and add his 25 years of sales and marketing experience to the "EcoGreenREVA" team.
We are currently living in St. Paul, Minnesota but plan to return to my husband's hometown of Atlanta, Georgia within the next couple of years. This career move into the world of REVAs is designed to help facilitate this move.
I am a third-generation entrepreneur, owning my own business and charting my own future is in my blood. I understand the commitment required to be successful as an entrepreneur, which is why I waited until my children were older and "trained" to "hold down the fort" as I dig in and work on building my/our dreams of financial and location freedom!
I look forward to finding friends and comrades on this forum. I will be posting to the Branding Forum next, I need help brainstorming a tag line for my business.
Sincerely,
Susan Davis, St. Paul, Minneosta
