Hi everyone!

I've been lurking for a while and finally thought I'd join.

I'm currently a M-F project manager in the Aerospace Industry. Wanting more freedom, I started investigating VAs.

Getting started will be a challenge b/c I work traditional hours already, but I feel that I have some unique experiences to bring to the table.

Does anyone have experience providing assistance regarding SharePoint, Configuration Management, IT, or Project Management in addition to admin duties?

Glad you're 'coming out of the shadows' and joining in! I work a 9-5 while building up Goddess and you will find many of us who work J-O-B-S involved in the VAF community. Sorry, no experience as requested.

Welcome to the forums Miranda It's great to have you here!
You do bring a unique background to the table - I'm certain with a little brainstorming you'll pinpoint your ideal set of services (and clients).

As Lily mentioned, there are plenty of virtual assistants who are working full-time or part-time (or did so while starting up their practices). It's a unique set of challenges and definitely means a real focus on time management in the beginning, but it can be done. Some of the most successful VAs I know were contending with 40+ hours a week outside the home during their startup phase. Don't let that stop you from staying driven and excited about running your own business!
