My name is Dominique Blake. I have been in business for almost 3 years on a very part time basis. I am now looking to increase my client base and work time. I have joined several forums, IVAA and LinkedIn. I am working on my Microsoft Office Certification. Once I am completely happy with my website, I will reach out to new and past clients/employers. I will also join my local Chamber of Commerce.
I am really excited about investing the time to make my business a success. I believe this is the best way to start ramping up, I would love to hear what others are doing to get their businesses off the ground.

Congratulations on taking those first important steps in developing your business - I think you're on the right track and would also encourage you to pursue relationships at your local COC - they will often have networking, community volunteer, and advertising opportunities specifically for members so get a copy of their events calendar and get as active as you can manage to be.
Very cool that you've been VA-ing already, and looking to expand. Good for you! I'm new myself , but I found out real fast this is the place where you'll get the best help.
I hear great things about US Chambers of Commerce. I've just added that to my "to do list", find out what UK Chambers of Commerce actually do because I have no idea!
