Hello!
As my title states my name is Robin Edwards. I am a mother of 4. I have outside jobs but I need to be home with two of my children. One of them, 15 year old, has damage to his brain from a serious ATV (four runner) accident, then I have a 11 month old. I home school my 15 year old and my 11 year old. I tried working outside the home but with my son I need to find something inside the home.

I scrapbook, sew, draw, and I am on my computer alot. This is how I spend my quite time. I have also taught my daughter so that is how I spend my time with her.

I am hoping that everyone will come and help me get started by giving me suggestions. I have worked in office enviroments before as I am sure everyone else here has, but starting to work at home is harder than I thought. So, please give me as much of your brain as you can

Start with going through all the categories lined up in this forum. Use the search for getting started. Have you thought about contacting the Small Business Admin? Their website offers good tools for getting started and a free meeting with a counselor and the opportunity to build a business plan. You need to know what you can offer your clients and how to build the resources necessary to reach them.

Thanks for the advice. I will go to the website now. I have a AA in busines so I now how to do a business plan. I guess I need to stop and take a deep breath because I should know some of this on my own. But getting suggestions is helping me remember.

Hi Robin - I am also fairly new to the forum also but you will indeed find tons of information here and on other websites to get you started. Just take a deep breath and don't get overwhelmed. I found myself on information overload the first week, so I decided to make a binder. I printed and organized all of the information and wrote all my thought and ideas down both for my sanity and for future reference.
