Hello

I've just joined and can't wait to get involved in the Virtual Assistant world. I am currently setting up my Virtual Assistant business which I am finding very exciting if a little daunting. I have a background working as a PA for Financial Services Companies and hope I can now put my various skills to use working for myself. I have always wanted to have my own business and would appreciate any help and advice anyone can offer.

I am also in the process of setting up my website.

About 3 weeks lol!

Unfortunately I was made redundant recently and so my two or three year plan was suddenly shoved upon me in just a couple of weeks. To be honest I have just signed with a couple of temping agencies for some part-time work to supplement the income until such time as I start to get regular fee paying clients.

A lot of the work I have done this last few weeks has been for former work colleagues and friends and all for nothing. Mind you I am expecting them all to give me fantastic testimonials for my web pages and then the fees will start rolling in :0)

What about yourself. What made you decide to take the plunge?

I meant to mention that I have friends that live near Umberleigh.... actually they live in Atherington. I love it down there, all those narrow roads and pretty villages... you are so lucky!
