Default I'm a New Aspiring VA
My name is Natalie Stewart. While I do not have a Virtual Assistant business, I am looking for information on how to start a Virtual Assistant business while working my full-time job. I am currently attending college on-line. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I am also just starting out. This forum is wonderful for information. So far I have done research like crazy. I have been trying to decide on a name for my business - the hardest part so far. I have checked it all on www.godaddy.com to see what is available. I have investigated www.homestead.com to see about a website. I had basic business cards printed for free on www.vistaprint.com. When I decide on a name I will get more with the actual name on them. I have gone to so many VA websites to see what other people are doing. And I have investigated by target area to see what kind of business I can generate. Once I get a name, I will join my local Chamber of Commerce to hopefully get more business. Who knows if I am doing things in the right order, but research, research, research is the key to knowing what to do. Good luck to you. I hope things go well for you.

Pam

Welcome!

I too started my business after attending college - well, for my 3rd degree, but I ended up working FT again and doing this VA business on the side. It was hard to go back and now just realizing that I should have taken the time to do the necessary research to start a successful VA business. I got a couple of clients but nothing to keep me at home. I am now just working toward getting back to this and ordered some of the books that was suggested in this forum. I am redoing my website and getting my ducks in a row to take on this challenge again. This time I WILL be a success!

Good luck and read, read, read

Michelle
