Default I finally did it.

Hello All,

I am posting from the great state of New Jersey. Hey, stop that laughing.

I want to thank everyone who has participated in making this site so wonderful. It is a God send.

I have researched starting my own home business for 10 years now and becoming a VA for about 2 years now. Fortunately, I ran across this website about 2 months ago and have enjoyed reading the helpful advice offered by seasoned VA's as well as empathizing with the newbies.

My professional background is not at all typical, being that I have freelanced and been contracted on admin support assignments for the past 15 years. I have worked in the tri-state area (excluding Connecticut) and the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex gaining a tremendous amount of experience and know how.

With the help of this site I was able to start my VA business and do focused research with the suggested reading. I usually go to Amazon.com and read the comments section before I purchase books, but thanks to this website I have been able to read the posts of other VA’s to help me decide which books to purchase. BTW: I still can’t find the book The Virtual Assistant's Start-Up Manual: A 30-day plan to build your VA business anywhere, if anyone can guide me in the right direction I would truly appreciate it.

I am in the process of creating my website and once again I have to thank the VA’s who were kind enough to post how-to’s, and offer advice of what not to do, as well as using their own websites as an example.

Finally, I want to end by saying I finally did it, I finally became a member of this forum. Hooray.
