Hi everyone, I’m a newbie here.
I’ll be setting up as a VA from January 2012. I’ve worked in various roles across the IT, Financial, education and telecommunications industries. Trained Six Sigma and PRINCE2 project manager and loves admin!
The past 4 years I have been made redundant 4 times, after the 1st two I set up a cupcake business to give me something to fall back on. It has grown into a nice little business and I will be continuing with that when I leave my day job at the end of December. But this time round being made redundant I decided I did not want to find another day job and the cupcakes are not enough to live off. I already do VA work for my Dad and through him another company has taken me on. So I thought why not make it official and set up as a business and it could lead to a few more clients. With my Dad’s company and another I have about 20 hours a week on average work wise with them. But these are at a lower rate than new clients would be.
At the moment I’m doing all the background work and getting things sorted ready to officially launch in January. I’m working on a website (through Weebly at the moment) and getting all my admin processes, documentation etc sorted.
This site looks like it will have a lot of great information to help me and look forward to chatting with some of you
