I'm a new VA in VA. I've been in Hampton, Virginia four years (originally from Ohio). I've been married for 9 years and have a 3 year old boy. I've decided t become a VA to spend more time with him and possibly baby #2 in the future. I've got all my ducks in a row, just trying to finish up the website and get the clientele now. I'm looking forward to learning lots from you all in the forums and hope to find a fellow VA near my location.

My business is Firefly Virtual Solutions. I offer marketing and administrative services. I have formal education in business and marketing and a decade of experience in sales and advertising/marketing.

Welcome Rachel,

I was working from home building my marketing campaign, etc., and then decided to just take the leap, quit my job (Feb), and go for it. I have 4 clients all local and am doing pretty well so far. My husband has been paying bills, mortgage and I've helped a little, but by September I need to be up and running full speed to continue to make ends meet here. So, for now, it's good and I need to keep marketing myself.

My little girl will be turning three tomorrow and I have to say that being able to be home with her since she was born has been such a blessing. It's wonderful to be able to create your own business AND be a present and active parent.
