Default Hi From San Diego, CA
Hi Everyone,

I'm Sarah, and am just starting to think about starting my VA business. Lots of work is involved, that's for sure!

I'm in Southern California, and my full-time job at the moment is in Construction. We all know how _that's_ going right now, so I'm looking for a backup. I figure part-time will be the way to go for right now as a VA. I know that my skills will definitely transfer (office skills do...), so I just have to figure out my targets & go.

I'm still in the planning out stage - trying to figure out my niche, and what I'd like to offer - something intersects with what I like to do, and what I know how to do! And, of course, the ever important name! Not sure why I'm so hung up on that, but there it is.

Anyway, I'm glad to be getting to know you all, and am looking forward to talking with you some more!

Hello and welcome!

Don't worry about being hung up on the name, a lot of us have felt the same way. I recommend pushing forward with your business planning even if you haven't yet decided upon a name. It keeps you moving towards your goal and you can still brainstorm name ideas on the side. One will come up that fits, sometimes it just takes a little time.

I also agree that it is a ton of work and more than a notion. I found the easiet thing for me was to create a to do list and each day tackle an item. I keep a note book handy to jot down ideas as I think of them throughout the day. I also agree with Linda with focusing more on the business development and planning aspects. During this phase you may stumble across a name that fits.

Best wishes with starting your business.
