Hi everyone, new here but not new to being a VA or working from home. I have just decided to make it official, and I'm excited! I'm Lyn Kirby, in Vancouver, WA/Portland, OR area- I literally live right on the border of the 2 states so I sometimes work in OR. I've been an Independent Contractor for the last 7 years, and mostly working from home for the last 2, and now am making the Virtual Assistant thing official and branching out.

I love this forum already, and am happy to 'meet' you all

Nice to "meet" you too. I'm sure you'll love it here. The forum is so useful and the atmosphere is great because everyone is willing to answer questions, give advice or just talk about life in general. It really is a great resource. Nice to hear of someone with a successful VA business. Take care

I'm also located in Vancouver...on the east side. It's great being so close to everything, especially Portland. Could use a few more sunny days (she says as she looks out of her office at another cloudy, wet day) but hey, you can't have everything, right.

Thank you for the welcome everyone! I have been an Independent Contractor the last 7 years, and basically solely a VA the last 2 years but busier last year. Then I had to take time off because of family things, and am now trying to get back in the swing of things which I am enjoying.

Welcome! I am in your area as well- I live in Portland, OR. I checked out your website, I really like the flow chart landing page. It's nice to hear from someone who has had a long sustained career as a VA/Independent Contractor. Stay on the look out for a local VA meetup that I will be coordinating soon!
