Hello VAF!!!
My name is Mae and I just recently started eOffice Business Solutions - Yippeee!! Currently I am nervous and excited about being a business owner and using my skills to help others and myself.
A bit about me and
e (it's so fun to say) I am a single parent of a beautiful yet tween challenged 12yr old daughter. Currently I am in the transition process of moving to Takoma Park MD (I'm a sitting duck for my apartment). I am a intermediate belly dancing vegetarian :-) that loves nature and believes in holistic health and mother earth can cure almost any and everything.
For the past 12 years I have worked in banking, retail, non profits, technology, advertising/marketing, culinary arts, sustainability (green) and with start ups doing administrative work with specialties in program, project and executive management. In addition I have done some consulting, participated in a few leadership and fellowship opportunities. I have always had the entrepreneurial bug in me but didn't know where or how to apply it and like that the light bulb went off and I realized that a lot of the work I was doing on the side and yes for free plus day to day I could do for myself via business.
So I had to leave my job in July which I worked for 5 years due to my daughter getting sick (better now) and decided to stop being afraid and start being great. So I started eOfficeBusinessSolutions and my niche markets are start ups, entrepreneurs, small business, non profits, LEED associates, real estate, government and social entrepreneurs.
Currently I am in the very early stages I am going through business planning and hope to join this business program that begins next month where I will have some guidance and experts working with me. I have reached out to free resources such as Score etc for business advice and of course VAF!! In addition, also looking into bringing in income temporarily as a VA until I am more established.
Ideally eOBS will be a triple pundit business or triple bottom line with many clients and employ other virtual workers.
I am so excited to be apart of this wonderful community get and give some insight, be a cheerleader and learn. Here is to much success to everyone!!!
Blessings,
Mae
