It's a new year and the time seems right to finally get my business going! I'm just starting the planning stage right now, and I've already found these forums to be extremely, helpful, so thank you to all of you! I look forward to being able to contribute.

Welcome to the forum, you'll be busy reading for days on end here. Have you decided on a business name, logo, tagline, niche etc yet? So much to think of, but it can be fun! I'm in the process of preparing to launch my business too, so know how crazy and exciting it can be. Good luck to you!

Thanks! I'm still working out all of the details. I have a name in mind (not my first choice - a lot of the names/domains I was interested in were taken) but choosing the name is tricky. I want the name to reflect services that I feel confident offering now, and still be relevant for services I plan to offer in the future (once I build up my skills more and have done some pro bono work to build up references).

I'll keep you all posted when I bite the bullet, register the name and buy the domain!

ETA: Apparently when I registered on the forums a few months ago I had put in a tentative name that is now in my sig line - that name is no longer in consideration.
