Where did you read the article that made you want to get involved?
I'm at the stage where I'm not that far off building the website. I'm currently thinking about the forms to use. There is a lot involved when setting up a business!!!
I'm enjoying the challenge and am looking forward to receiving my first customer! LOL!!

Hello there!
It was an article in "LOOK" magazine, called "We supersized our salaries and so can you". One of the interviewees had been a PA as I currently am, and went into business for herself after reading an article about VAs. She started her business with £50 and a laptop. You know when you have a "eureka" moment? Well reading that article was it for me! Everything fell into place and made so much sense.

I have a great love of technology (and a great hate in equal measure) and I've always wanted a job that would combine my IT skills, organisational skills and allow me to work for myself, so becoming a VA is well suited to me.
I already have two potential clients lined up but have so much to do in the meantime. I'm feverishly working on my business plan, looking for a web designer and working on designs for my company logo. I'm so excited and can't wait to get off the ground. My plan is to get my business up and running alongside my day job (PA to a busy Dept Head in an Oil & Gas company), and in 12-18 months concentrate on my business full time.
When do you plan for your website to go live? You're right there's so much to think about. My head is spinning with ideas.

I think it's a great opportunity for women and men alike. I have two daughters under 13 and trying to ensure that I am around as they enter teenagedom is a huge motivating factor for me.
Anyway I babble on. I will be following your progress with interest and that of all the new and apsiring VAs like myself, and the established members of this community.
Dee
